How To Use SST
- General Introduction to SST
This video will take you step by step through Site Super Tracker and all of its
features and reports. It's about 22 minutes long, but certainly worth watching so
that you can learn the ins and outs of this powerful tool.
Installation Steps : Video Instructions
- Create A Database In CPanel
This video will show you how to create a MySQL database and username in CPanel.
- FTP The SST Files To Your Site
There is no video for this step. Upload the files to your site using FTP, then make the
following permission changes:
| type | name | permissions |
| file | ast_settings.php | CHMOD 777 |
| folder | temp | CHMOD 777 |
To change the permissions, in most FTP programs, you will right-click the file in your FTP program and
select "permissions" or CHMOD and check the appropriate read/write/execute boxes that are shown to you,
or set the value directly. For more specific help on this, consult the manual that came with your FTP
program.
- Install SST
This video will show you how to install the SST scripts after you've FTP'd them to your site.
- Paste The Tracking Code On Your Pages
There is no video for this step. Simply paste the tracking code (available by clicking the
'tracking code' link from within SST) just above the </body> tag on every page that you
want to track.
Steps To Import Data From AdSense Tracker 2.2 To SST
- Install SST.
First follow all of the above steps for installing a clean version of SST.
It is recommended that you install SST into the SAME FOLDER that you
installed AdSense Tracker into (after doing a complete backup of the files in the AdSense Tracker
installation folder). This will prevent you from having to change any of the tracking code
on any of your sites after installing SST and performing the import.
- Import AST Data Into SST
This video will show you how to upgrade your installation of AdSense Tracker 2.2 to Site Super Tracker
using the ast_import.php script in your SST installation folder.
